Join Consensys as a Software Engineer in DeFi
Consensys is at the forefront of the blockchain revolution, and we are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join our Special Mechanisms Group (SMG). This role is perfect for an up-and-coming engineer eager to dive into the blockchain space and contribute to the future of decentralized finance (DeFi).
About the Role
As a Software Engineer in our SMG team, you will:
- Develop and contribute to automation software and infrastructure that powers DeFi protocols and products within the Ethereum ecosystem and beyond.
- Collaborate with top minds in the crypto space, working on a variety of components including backend infrastructure, auction mechanisms, trading bots, and smart contracts.
- Learn and grow by being exposed to new concepts, ideas, and frameworks, challenging you to stay at the top of your game.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and contribute to our automated test suite to familiarize yourself with our systems.
- Engage with a variety of infrastructure components, contributing to backend systems, smart contracts, and more.
- Write performance-optimized code and work efficiently in a fully remote environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Proficiency in Python and other object-oriented programming languages.
- Basic understanding of Ethereum, blockchain, and DeFi.
- Interest in crypto and a passion for learning new technologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote setting.
- Experience with Linux-based operating systems or a willingness to learn.
- Ability to share a codebase you have contributed to, preferably one that can be run locally.

Salary
The salary range for this position is $66,000 to $106,000 USD, depending on experience and skills.
