The Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be a part of a truly cross-functional team; working alongside Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA’s. You will participate in product planning from discovery all the way to deployment and collaborate to develop robust new features, APIs, continuously improve our industry-leading products, and find and fix any bugs at Deel Speed.

You will ensure our customers receive a white-glove experience with our products. Your expert knowledge of Node.js and at least one other server side language, along with your proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript syntax and database management (SQL and NoSQL), will be crucial. Your understanding of AWS Services such as S3, EKS, SNS, and SQS, and experience with serverless app architecture on AWS will be highly valued.

What You Bring to the Team

• Expert knowledge of Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Strong database skills with SQL and NoSQL, mainly PostgreSQL and ORM libraries such as Sequelize
• Good understanding of AWS Services
• Experience with serverless app architecture on AWS
• At least 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer
