Overview
Join Waymo, a pioneering company in autonomous driving technology, as a Senior Backend Software Engineer. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mission-critical commercialization tools and systems.
- Collaborate with Product, UX, and other engineering teams to adapt and evolve systems as business needs grow.
- Address complex, real-world problems such as demand planning, pickup/dropoff optimization, and fleet optimization.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including operations, legal, partnerships, policy, and privacy.
Qualifications
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of backend or infrastructure experience.
- Proficiency in C++ or willingness to learn.
- Experience in environments that include non-technical team members.
- Familiarity with operations tooling, developer productivity, or developer tools is preferred.
