Teleport is a leader in Identity-Native Infrastructure Access Management, providing secure access to critical computing infrastructure. We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States.
About the Role
As a Senior Backend Software Engineer at Teleport, you will be part of a team that develops our unified access plane for SSH, Kubernetes, and Database infrastructure. You will work on a variety of projects, including:
- Building backend integrations with cloud providers' managed databases.
- Enhancing the scalability and resiliency of clusters with over 10,000 nodes.
- Implementing advanced HTTPS proxies with identity-aware access control.
- Developing hardened security solutions for Linux and Mac users.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement backend solutions.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and participate in an open design process.
- Engage with users and customers to gather feedback and improve our products.
- Contribute to our open-source projects, primarily written in Golang and Rust.

Requirements
- Proven experience in backend development, particularly with Golang or Rust.
- Strong understanding of Linux systems engineering.
- Experience with cryptography engineering is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work directly with customers.
