The Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Actively Validated Services (AVS) team, you will be instrumental in scaling up our efforts to enhance Ethereum's capabilities. You will develop decentralized and verifiable software as a service products on EigenLayer. Your role involves ideating, developing, and delivering tools and services that streamline the path for developers to build fast, reliable, and cost-effective verifiability into their products.
Responsibilities
- Leverage your expertise in distributed systems to create impactful services and tools.
- Guide developer communities through the creation and management lifecycle of AVS product builds.
- Engage in proactive research to optimize the technical journey for developers based on feedback.
- Contribute to sprint planning, process improvement, and product strategy.
- Participate in team design and code reviews, standups, and agile development processes.
Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in backend distributed systems.
- 2+ years of full lifecycle development experience with Go, Rust, or C++.
- Strong understanding of operational maintenance in a web3 environment.
- General knowledge of blockchain technology and concepts.
Nice to Have
- Experience with smart contracts, queuing systems, EVMs, and consensus protocols.
- Familiarity with blockchain SDKs and node operations platforms.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary range: $225,000 - $250,000.
- Potential for annual bonuses and other incentives.
