The Role
As a Senior Backend Software Engineer in Infrastructure, you will be involved in all stages of the product lifecycle. This includes idea generation, design, prototyping, and production delivery. You will collaborate closely with both technical and non-technical teammates to understand our customers' problems and develop innovative solutions.
Our infrastructure teams focus on the lowest layers of our software stack, often dealing with database technologies, distributed systems, large scale data systems, security, and application infrastructure. You will contribute high-quality code to support Palantir Foundry and Gotham, ensuring they are performant, secure, and scalable.
Core Responsibilities
- Building performant search and indexing ecosystems for complex, granularly permissioned data.
- Contributing to open-source data processing libraries to integrate the latest innovations for performance gains.
- Designing and building distributed systems for large scale compute workloads, orchestrating and efficiently scheduling hundreds of thousands of containers every hour.
- Developing architecture and APIs to keep application developers on the happy path, centralizing and abstracting complexity away from our users.
