Senior Analytics Engineer

About the Role

As a Senior Analytics Engineer at Taxfix, you will play a crucial role in leading the development and enhancement of our data models. Your mission is to ensure these models are robust, scalable, and efficient to drive our analytical applications. You will transform raw data into actionable insights, empowering our teams to make informed decisions. This involves not only owning the data models within your domain but also contributing to the broader evolution of Analytics Engineering at Taxfix.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand business users’ needs through structured requirements gathering.
• Design complex, high-quality, and efficient data models using dimensional modeling, ensuring they are long-lasting and future-proof.
• Create efficient and scalable data pipelines with dbt, supported by excellent documentation.
• Implement actionable data quality checks.
• Support and maintain existing BI solutions, resolving bugs as they arise.
• Take full ownership of your projects, from idea generation and requirement gathering to successful implementation.
• Set standards and regularly exchange knowledge and best practices with your colleagues.

Your Profile

• 4+ years of experience in building DWH products, creating code-based ETL, and BI developments with strong DWH modeling skills.
• Strong SQL skills are essential.
• Advanced experience with dbt (cloud or core) for data modeling.
• Experience with cloud Data Warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery) and BI solutions (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, Mixpanel).
• Orchestration solutions (Airflow, Jenkins) are a plus.
• Highly proficient in implementing data quality standards and developing robust data monitoring frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly and simply.
• Strong business acumen and a strategic approach to reporting and stakeholder management across different business domains.
