Job Overview
Join the Bel Group as a Senior Data Engineer / Tech Lead specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role is based in Suresnes, Île-de-France, France, and offers the opportunity to work on-site with the possibility of remote work 2-3 days per week. As a key member of the Data & Analytics team, you will be responsible for leading the technical aspects of data solutions within the Data Platform and managing the development team.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Lead and animate the data engineering team in an Agile/DevOps environment.
- Build data pipelines using existing data integration processes while adhering to best practices such as CI/CD, code quality, and test coverage.
- Promote and ensure the production of high-quality, robust, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Anticipate risks and blockages during development and deployment phases.
- Control and validate developers' work, making adjustments as necessary.
- Supervise and implement alerting, monitoring, and access management strategies for the data platform.
- Collaborate with architects and experts to formulate and document the most appropriate GCP architecture.
- Actively contribute to the platform's roadmap for continuous improvement and innovation, focusing on cost management, alerting, monitoring, and advanced analytics use cases.
- Facilitate communication between Data Engineers and other Data Team members, including governance, data scientists, data analysts, and product owners.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Engineering or a related field (Bac+5 level).
- At least 4 years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer.
- Expertise in GCP architecture and tools such as BigQuery, Composer, Cloud Run, Cloud Scheduler, Log Analytics, and Vertex AI.
- Significant experience in designing, developing, configuring, and implementing GCP-based solutions.
- Proficiency in DBT workflows and associated pipelines.
- Mastery of DevOps methodologies and CI/CD processes.
- Experience with Terraform for resource automation is a plus.
- Ability to share knowledge and skills to help the team progress.
- Good command of English.
