About the Role
As a Senior Tech Lead Data Engineer at Jems Group, you will be at the forefront of solving complex data-related problems and leading project delivery. Your main responsibilities will include ensuring the implementation of data access, referencing, and quality, industrializing, supervising, and integrating solutions, and drafting development standards and operation manuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Management: Ensure the effective management and quality of data across various platforms.
- Solution Development: Lead the development and integration of robust data solutions.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior consultants, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
- Pre-Sales Activities: Engage in pre-sales activities, including responding to RFPs and promoting data architectures to clients.
Skills and Experience
- Technical Mastery: Proficient in SQL, object-oriented languages (Python, JAVA, Scala), distributed computing frameworks, message buses (Kafka, RabbitMQ), data feeding tools (Talend, Matillion, Stambia), search engines (ELK suite, SolR), data storage solutions (HDFS, deltalake, blob/S3), and continuous integration tools (Git, JUnit, SonarQube, Jenkins).
- Cloud Expertise: Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) or Big Data distributions (Hortonworks, Cloudera, Datastax).
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze and interpret business needs and technical requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Degree in engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Proven professional experience in a data project context, demonstrating rigor, proactivity, and autonomy.
