Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in deriving insights from our vast data sets, enhancing our product offerings, and solving complex problems for our customers. As a founding member of our data science team, you will:
- Develop and ship scalable data products that enhance customer experience.
- Build top-tier merchant databases and low-latency APIs using advanced techniques like large-scale entity resolution models.
- Utilize your deep understanding of customer needs and the ML ecosystem to uncover new possibilities within our data sets.
- Create advanced machine learning algorithms using Python, PySpark, and Databricks.
- Design and deploy end-to-end workflows and testing frameworks for data pipelines.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in fintech, particularly with payments-related data.
- Proficiency in machine learning, statistical algorithms, and deep learning.
- Fluency in Python, statistical/ML packages, and SQL.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in data science, machine learning, or a related field.
- Experience with PySpark and Databricks.
