Job Description
Wolters Kluwer is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our team in Barcelona. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for building maintainable and highly scalable business-critical applications. You will work closely with product management to understand customer needs and design robust, maintainable, and high-performing features using industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Implement solutions that are reliable, scalable, and perform at a high level to meet client needs.
- Collaborate with product management to understand customer problems and design solutions using object-oriented design and design patterns.
- Participate in Agile practices, including planning and iteration demos.
- Provide feedback and input on planned and coded solutions, and recommend improvements to the development process.
- Continuously learn about new technologies and bring new ideas to improve the use of technology in our products.
- Write quality code with automated tests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience developing systems in a .NET environment with C#.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns, with a focus on SOLID principles.
- Excellent understanding of .NET Core 3.1 and .NET 6.
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- Proficiency in backend and frontend technologies, including REST API with JSON (ASP.NET Core Web API), MongoDB, Microsoft SQL, Angular, and TypeScript.
- Experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) concepts.
- Aligned with the DevSecOps culture, with experience in deployments using Kubernetes.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Agile mindset with a passion for software development.
Nice to Have
- Experience with microservices-oriented development.
- Familiarity with NServiceBus, RabbitMQ, and enterprise integration patterns.
