Basecone is our powerful solution for scanning, recognizing, and approving invoices in the cloud, and we need your expertise to enhance our machine learning capabilities.

About the Role

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, designing, developing, and maintaining high-performing data pipelines, machine learning services, and cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to ensure seamless data analytics, data science explorations, and the development of data-based features. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our machine learning projects run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and machine learning services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote the best experience for data analytics and data science explorations.
Ensure the smooth operation of machine learning projects.
Write robust code in Python or similar languages.
Develop APIs for machine learning models.
Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and data processors like Spark.
Utilize data frameworks such as Airflow and machine learning frameworks like MLFlow and KubeFlow.
Implement AWS solutions, including SageMaker.
Participate in Agile Scrum teams and contribute to sprint goals.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Backend and/or Machine Learning Engineer.
Strong coding skills in Python or similar languages.
Experience with data quality and testing.
Proficiency in developing end-to-end pipelines and APIs for machine learning models.
Experience with data processors and frameworks such as Spark and Airflow.
Familiarity with AWS solutions, particularly SageMaker.
Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
Self-managed, motivated, and fluent in English.
