Job Overview
Join Amazon's Devices and Services Design Group (DDG) as a Senior Front End Engineer and be part of the team that imagines the future of software and hardware experiences, powered by Alexa. This role involves designing, building, and operating web services and tooling to advance design methodology and delivery across a range of product lines.
Responsibilities
- Support the design studio with deep technical knowledge.
- Unlock technically challenging scenarios and mature the design studio’s ability to deliver design at scale.
- Interface with teams across product lines and disciplines.
- Translate user requirements into actionable tasks and drive an evolving architecture.
- Contribute individually to code and help define our roadmap.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of non-internship professional front end, web, or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- 1+ years of experience in computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis).
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.
Preferred Qualifications
- MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Experience building on the AWS Platform.
- Experience developing complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with UX, Product, and non-technical partners.
- Passion for inventing new product designs and technical solutions.
- Experience in visual design and developing visually polished, engaging, and highly fluid user interfaces.
