Job Description
As a Front End Engineer II at Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka, you will be responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications. This role is based in Santa Monica, California, and offers a competitive salary range.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Develop: Work on the design and development of new products and features, focusing on front-end components and user experience for Kinesis.
- Customer Interaction: Engage directly with customers to shape the vision of the web stack and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Innovation: Brainstorm, prototype, test, and iterate on new ideas using the latest technologies and tools.
- Metrics and Analysis: Create and drive metrics to measure complexity and improve the efficiency of the development process.

Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional front-end, web, or mobile software development experience using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- 1+ years of experience with computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience with agile software development methodologies.
- Familiarity with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node.
Compensation
The base pay for this position ranges from €129,300 to €223,600 per year, depending on market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional compensation may include equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits.
