Job Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world leader in providing a highly reliable, scalable, and low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud. AWS Systems Manager (SSM) provides a unified user interface, so customers can view operational data and issues from multiple AWS services, allowing them to automate operational tasks across their AWS resources.
We’re building new front-end experiences for all AWS customers which will take our current offerings to the next level. With a new, highly interactive interface, enriched by our years of experience in managing AWS infrastructure and the latest innovations around Gen AI, we’ll enable customers to master their operational posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the design, implementation, and deployment of successful large-scale distributed systems.
- Instill best practices for software development and documentation, ensuring designs meet requirements and delivering high-quality software.
- Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward solutions.
- Understand system interdependencies and limitations.
About The Team
The Systems Manager team values work-life balance. We value different lifestyles that people have, and we want to provide an inclusive environment for everyone.
We are builder-operators of our services at AWS and have an on-call rotation once every 6-8 weeks. We work to reduce our on-call load by ensuring that our systems are fault-tolerant.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of non-internship professional front-end, web, or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS experience.
- 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis) experience.
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience.
- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node.
