We are looking for a Frontend Engineer II who is passionate about working in cutting edge technologies, brings deep technical knowledge, and has experience with modern frontend application design to implement end-to-end experiences. This role will work with a team of frontend engineers, participating in design and implementation of major deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Work in a cooperative team environment and enjoy working through complex and ambiguous problems.
• Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and UX designers across the organization.
• Enhance our operational excellence by continuously measuring and improving the performance, security, and availability of the products owned by your team.
• Define, implement, and measure operational and business KPIs.
• This position involves on-call responsibilities.

About The Team

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS experience.
• 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis) experience.
• Experience with object-oriented design.
• Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience.
• Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node.
