About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer with a focus on frontend onchain engineering to join the Base team. You will play a crucial role in enabling and accelerating the success of Base by working across all components of our system to develop the next generation of onchain products.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-quality frontend web applications.
• Open source our web apps and libraries, managing open source contributions and community issues.
• Assist teams within Coinbase in building onchain products, leveraging industry best practices and modern dapp development patterns.
• Develop key components of the OP Stack to further the decentralization of Base and other Layer 2 solutions.

What We Are Looking For

• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 4 years in developing web apps and shipping user-facing features using JavaScript and modern frameworks like React and Next.js.
• Experience in developing and shipping user-facing features with onchain components.
• Familiarity with current trends and best practices in frontend architecture and dapp development, including security, performance, and usability.
• Ability to collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and product managers throughout the product and design lifecycles.
• High-quality, well-tested, and maintainable code writing skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Golang, Geth, Foundry, Solidity.
• Contributions to open source crypto projects, such as OP Stack or Base contributions.
• Experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks.
• Experience in building responsive web or mobile applications.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary Range: $180,625—$212,500 USD annually.
• Full-time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus, target equity, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
