Senior Full-Stack Engineer ReactJS/NodeJS

About the Role

Gorgias is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with expertise in ReactJS and NodeJS to join our dynamic Automate team. This team is dedicated to revolutionizing customer support in the ecommerce space by seamlessly automating interactions between merchants and shoppers. As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and expanding the functionality of our chat platform, which is central to our product vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance and Expand Chat Functionality: Work on building new features and improving existing ones to align with our product vision.
• Performance Improvements: Explore and implement strategies to optimize the performance of our applications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other teams to integrate their products into the chat platform. Collaborate with engineers across teams to make informed technical decisions.
• Technical Excellence: Insist on high standards by instrumenting code with logging and unit tests, and configuring monitors and alarms for critical production functionalities.
• Project Management: Help clarify the scope of work on a quarterly basis, analyze new product requirements, provide technical consultation, and break down project requirements into actionable tasks.

Who You Are

• Experience: 6+ years of experience working with React and Node.js.
• Python: At least one professional experience working with Python.
• Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ownership: Proven track record of taking ownership in previous roles or projects.

Nice to Have

• Experience with TypeScript and WebSocket.
• Experience working on live chat features or products is a big plus.
