Job Overview
Glooko is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Paris. This is a hybrid role, requiring you to work on-site once a week. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions for Glooko XT users, ensuring software quality and adopting the correct architectural principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Design, develop, document, and implement solutions for Glooko XT users. Maintain software quality and adopt the correct architectural principles with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrate the ability to be an independent thinker and dynamic problem solver.
- Code Quality: Write code that is scalable, modular, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested. Optimize complex data models for understandability and performance.
- Agile Environment: Work in an agile development environment with an understanding of agile/lean delivery methods.
- Testing: Design, develop, and oversee unit tests to ensure application logic is fully exercised for each application component.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with the team and other stakeholders on stages and project completion goals or dates.
- Technical Oversight: Provide technical oversight to the development process, including code reviews and mentoring of the technical team.
- End-to-End Solutions: Deliver end-to-end solutions with a focus on hitting delivery milestones.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or similar/relevant experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on work experience with Node.js (preferred), Python with prevailing back-end frameworks building APIs and Microservices.
- Front-End Skills: 5+ years of hands-on work experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, and related technologies.
- Database Knowledge: 2+ years of experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
- Development Practices: Working experience and knowledge in TDD & BDD development practices.
- Web Development: Experience developing new user-facing features using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, preferably with ReactJS or a similar set of libraries or frameworks.
- Containerization: Experience with containerization platforms (Docker) and container orchestration tools.
- Agile Tools: Experience and knowledge of Scrum and Agile tools. JIRA and Atlassian tools experience is a plus.
