Senior Full Stack Engineer (React.js, TypeScript, Python)

Overview

At Grata, we are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer with strong application development skills. This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record of developing high-performance technology and a passion for contributing to a cutting-edge private company search engine. With strong engineering expertise, excellent system designs, and robust product thinking, you will push our data systems and applications forward, driving more value for our enterprise users.

About the Role

• Develop web applications using TypeScript, React, and Python.
• Work in a distributed architecture with APIs and event-driven architecture.
• Ship well-designed, tested production code.
• Prototype and experiment with new technologies and methods.

About You

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack development, including front-end and back-end technologies.
• Strong CS/Engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of best practices and architectural patterns for front-end applications.
• Experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework like React or Vue.
• Experience with at least one modern JavaScript package management tool like NPM or PNPM.
• Experience with TypeScript, Redux, Webpack, and HTML5.
• Experience with agile methodologies and automated testing, with some exposure to TDD.
• Strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

• NYC-based or willing to relocate, with a flexible hybrid model where we work in-office three days a week.

Actual compensation packages at the time of offers are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to: what you’d like to be paid, the skills/experience you bring, and any role-dependent factors such as software expertise, what similar jobs pay in the NYC area, and our commitment to equal pay for equal work among those you’ll be working with. The compensation for this role is targeted at $110,000-$140,000, plus equity.
