The Role & The Team
Join our Emerging Propositions team at Zalando, where you will be at the forefront of developing innovative solutions in the beauty and designer domains. This role demands a seasoned full-stack engineer who is proficient in both frontend and backend technologies, particularly JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Node.js.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality and responsive user interfaces for web applications using modern frontend frameworks such as React.
- Collaborate with designers to create visually appealing interfaces that meet user needs and brand guidelines.
- Work closely with product managers and backend engineers to integrate frontend components with backend APIs and databases.
- Optimize web applications for speed and performance, focusing on minimizing load times and maximizing interactivity.
- Write clean, modular, and maintainable code that can be easily understood and modified by other team members.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend technologies and trends, bringing new ideas and solutions to the team.
- Ensure web applications are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities.
- Test and debug frontend components to identify and fix issues during development.
- Document technical specifications and provide support to other team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Node.js.
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git.
- Commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.
Nice to Have
- Experience with server-side rendering (SSR).
- Familiarity with backend technologies such as APIs and databases.
- Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) principles.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Figma.
- Willingness to mentor and guide junior team members.
- Knowledge of web analytics tools and methodologies.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
