Northwestern Mutual is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Field Performance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and supporting technology solutions that empower our field force. You will work closely with a team of engineers within NM’s Field Technology team to develop high-quality applications, systems, and software.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Implement Software Solutions: Develop robust, scalable, and high-performance software solutions that meet business requirements and align with best practices and industry standards.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with various teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and provide solutions to system-wide architectural problems.
• Code Development: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to coding standards and guidelines.
• Debugging and Troubleshooting: Address complex issues to ensure the stability and reliability of our applications.
• Project Ownership: Take ownership of backlog items and actively contribute to git repositories, driving project progress and delivering high-quality code.
• Technical Leadership: Demonstrate technical leadership and mentor team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster professional growth.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience: 4-6+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in modern engineering tools, languages, and practices. Familiarity with the Spring Framework, JUnit, React, NodeJS, Typescript, Next.js, and Jest.
• Cloud and DevOps: Strong knowledge of Linux (CentOS), Terraform, and AWS services such as Aurora, S3, SQS, MSK, Kinesis, and DynamoDB.
• Database and Analytics: Experience writing queries and performing analytics.
• Microservices and Docker: Proficiency in developing cloud-based, dockerized applications and microservices.
• Java Development: Experience in writing and debugging multithreaded Java applications is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary Range: €100,030 - €185,770 per year.
