About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team at Method Financial. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for owning projects from inception to completion, making critical decisions that impact both technical and business outcomes. You will have the autonomy to drive your projects forward, with the support of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Stack Development: Utilize your expertise in JavaScript to build and enhance our platform. You will create engaging user experiences using React and ensure robust backend functionality with Node.js.
- Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve issues using our monitoring and logging tools. Develop actionable plans to address and fix problems efficiently.
- Code Quality: Maintain high technical standards by participating in code reviews and contributing to the hiring process by interviewing potential team members.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the team to define the product roadmap, ensuring it aligns with customer needs and business goals.
Who You Are
- Experienced: You have 3+ years of full-time software engineering experience, ideally in a full-stack capacity. You have a proven track record of building scalable, production-level applications.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Node.js, React (or similar frameworks), and MongoDB/NoSQL databases.
- Communicator: You can clearly articulate your ideas and break down complex solutions into manageable tasks.
- Adaptable: You balance the need for speed with the importance of getting things right, understanding when to incur technical debt and when to refactor.
- Curious: You stay informed about new technologies and trends in the FinTech space.
Bonus Points
- Experience in the Finance/FinTech industry.
- Knowledge of building data pipelines and payment rails such as ACH, RTP.
- DevOps experience with AWS, Cloudflare, and CI/CD tools.

Salary
The annual base salary for this role ranges from €130,000 to €150,000, reflecting the level of expertise and experience we seek in our candidates.
