Position Overview
Join Electronic Arts (EA), a leading global interactive entertainment software company, as a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer. This role is based in the vibrant city of Bucharest, Romania, and offers a chance to contribute to the development of cross-platform application tools aimed at enhancing user experiences for both developers and end-users.
Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Report directly to the Technical Director, focusing on project architecture and leading the development of reusable front-end components.
- Security and Reliability: Ensure the security and reliability of web-based applications, developing features that operate seamlessly across different platforms, including web and Electron applications.
- Problem Solving: Utilize your excellent technical problem-solving skills to thrive in a dynamic environment, tackling complex software challenges.
- Documentation and API Design: Author and review technical design documents and API specifications to clearly outline software requirements.
- Testing and Optimization: Maintain a comprehensive suite of automated tests to validate the correctness of both front and back-end components. Engage in load testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of web services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on coding experience in a professional setting.
- Proven track record of developing and supporting scalable web services hosted in the cloud.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks, including TypeScript, JavaScript, and C#.
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React and Angular.
- Familiarity with client/server architectures and RESTful web services.
- Knowledge of deploying services using Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
- Experience with public cloud providers like GCP, AWS, and Azure.
Additional Skills
- Previous experience in the games industry is a plus.
- Experience with Electron and contributions to open-source projects are advantageous.
- Ability to develop web services that scale to millions of daily users and work with large data-driven services.
