EA SPORTS, a division of Electronic Arts, is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. With over 30 years in the industry, EA SPORTS is a leading brand in entertainment, connecting millions of people worldwide with the sports they love through top-selling video game franchises.
About the Role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and operating solutions in a public cloud environment that interacts with corporate backend infrastructure and services. You will work closely with the Technical Director and Operations Development Director to estimate and implement projects, ensuring excellent results.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Implement Solutions: Create secure, supportable technical solutions that minimize toil on the team.
- Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Address deployment issues, connectivity challenges, performance problems, and availability outages.
- Develop Automation Tools: Build productivity-enhancing tools to automate common system administration tasks.
- Maintain Documentation: Keep detailed records of system configurations and procedures, including runbooks for live support.
- Support Infrastructure: Provide on-call support for gaming server infrastructure, feature launches, live events, and emergency escalations.
- Evaluate Technologies: Continuously assess and adopt technologies that improve team efficiency and platform capabilities.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience with public cloud services, especially Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- DevOps Tools: Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code solutions like Terraform, container technologies like Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker, and configuration management systems like Chef and Ansible.
- Programming Skills: Experience developing automated solutions with languages such as Python, Ruby, or Go.
- Security and Networking: Expertise in operating system and network security fundamentals for Linux servers.
- Database Knowledge: Understanding of database concepts, including schema design, NoSQL/Key-Value stores, and performance tuning.
