Job Overview
Join Electronic Arts (EA) as a Senior Software Engineer III - Full Stack in Austin, Texas. This role involves working with a highly innovative and quick-moving team of developers, architects, and designers to create scalable, high-performance web applications using a modern tech stack. You will be responsible for building UI modules, backend APIs, and designing scalable systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with producers, architects, designers, and business partners to understand requirements and track engineering tasks.
- Lead a distributed team of software engineers, coordinating project deliverables.
- Develop and implement software systems, validation procedures, and documentation.
- Code and unit test UI modules, backend APIs, and scripts.
- Integrate research and best practices into problem avoidance and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate new software solutions and develop quick proof of concepts (POCs).
- Participate in build and configuration management processes.
- Work with the quality assurance team to fix bugs.
- Follow the software development lifecycle with the project management team.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong background in data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and system design.
- Proficiency in web architecture and application development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, Node.js, and Python.
- Experience with RESTful Web Services and modern web development frameworks like Angular, React, and Django.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of security best practices and application performance optimization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
