Our Role & Mission
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer at Apollo, you will be instrumental in working with Apollo’s extensive database of over 200 million leads. Your primary responsibilities will include enhancing the quality of our data and developing customer-facing products. This role requires innovative thinking to devise simple yet effective solutions and implementing them from start to finish. You will be building highly scalable web services and need a robust understanding of both software design and databases, coupled with a solid grasp of frontend engineering.
Daily Adventures & Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and iterate on end-to-end features covering both frontend and backend.
- Implement designs delivered by our designers that work across different browsers, adhering to specifications.
- Produce clean, well-structured code, with detailed specifications and documentation.
- Maintain code quality, organization, automation, and continuous delivery.
- Communicate development progress or blockers to the product lead, engineering manager, and other stakeholders.
- Work effectively as part of a large global team.
- Engage in scrum ceremonies, on-call duties, and other team processes.
- Write unit/integration tests and contribute to engineering wikis.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of industry experience in backend development and at least 5+ years in frontend development.
- Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6), React, Redux, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong system design fundamentals and experience building scalable systems.
- Good understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven software engineering skills in a production environment, including test-driven development.
