Role Overview
As a Staff Frontend Engineer at Apollo.io, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the frontend architecture and driving the development of our web applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design and analytics, to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions that enhance user experience and business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
- Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback.
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
Daily Adventures
- Work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to design and contribute to core product initiatives.
- Produce "clean" and well-structured code, with detailed specifications.
- Implement "pixel perfect" designs that work across different browsers.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, automation, and continuous delivery.
- Communicate development progress or blockers to the product lead and other stakeholders.
- Attend and engage in stand-ups, team meetings, and one-on-one meetings with your manager.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong team player who can collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.
Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimum 8+ years of industry experience in frontend development.
- Solid understanding of core JavaScript, React, Redux, SCSS, Webpack, Cypress, and CI/CD for frontend.
- Experience with REST APIs and performance optimization.
- Interest in building UI with performance, accessibility, and scalability in mind.
