Our Role & Mission
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Apollo.io, you will play a crucial role in our rapidly growing company. You will be part of a cross-functional team that is tasked with implementing best practices in technology, architecture, and process. Your work will directly impact the development and optimization of our backend systems, ensuring high performance and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement highly scalable backend endpoints.
- Deliver features and systems to customers to improve customer metrics.
- Gather product requirements and write engineering design documents to satisfy product needs.
- Drive and lead the full lifecycle of software development, including product requirements, architecture, solution design, development, quality assurance, and maintenance.
- Deliver high-quality implementations and promote engineering excellence within the team.
- Mentor other engineers, providing feedback and technical guidance.
- Communicate development progress to product leads, engineering managers, and other stakeholders.
- Introduce new technologies and ideas as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience in backend development.
- Experience developing distributed web applications.
- Strong knowledge of database modeling (SQL or NoSQL).
- Proficiency in designing and using RESTful services.
- Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
