Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable Senior Golang Engineer to join one of our international cross-functional product teams. This role involves working passionately on our Go-based microservice backend. In close collaboration with Mobile Engineers, you will add new functionalities, manage the performance and stability of our backends, and take responsibility for our platform. You will also help provide the best possible product experience for our users.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the entire lifecycle of certain features and product areas from design to release.
- Program primarily in Go and occasionally in Typescript within a group of experienced developers dedicated to learning, sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Work with high-scale data in a microservice and event-based architecture.
- Participate in the design of software architecture and technology selection up to the implementation of new services in collaboration with our Mobile and Quality Assurance Engineers.
- Continuously monitor and improve our existing backend services with a high standard for smooth implementation.
- Engage in conferences and further education through online courses and training.
Candidate Profile
- 4-5 years of experience in software development.
- At least 3 years of experience with Golang.
- Proficiency in Git, Docker, and container management.
- A strong passion for software quality, including testing, code review, and documentation.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm is advantageous.
- Experience with GCP or another cloud provider, Terraform, and CI/CD tools is highly desirable.
- Experience working with relational and non-relational data stores.
- Understanding of the design, implementation, and maintenance of gRPC web services is a big plus.
- Reliable and structured work approach, a doer mentality, and goal orientation.
- Focused and solution-oriented work methodology.
- Excellent English language skills in both written and spoken form.
