The Role & The Team
Join Zalando as a Backend Software Engineer in the Zalando Lounge, part of the Markets & Sales department. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing technical solutions that enable the department to scale through efficient campaign go-to-market processes and flows, gaining access to key data insights needed for campaign planning and scheduling. Your focus will be on enabling greater automation to support the organization's growth and complexity.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, operate, and improve backend services.
- Provide foundational data for other departments through APIs and event streams.
- Collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers, Product Designers, and Analysts across Zalando to create positive customer impact.
- Own your code and make decisions regarding the technologies, architecture, and tools to deliver and operate our applications on AWS.
- Take ownership of the entire product development cycle - from architecture design to testing to implementation & maintenance.
- Improve internal processes, documentation, and ways of working.
- Coach colleague engineers and new joiners, sharing best practices in software development.
