Join Skytree as a Senior IoT Edge Software Engineer
Skytree is at the forefront of climate technology, developing innovative solutions to capture and utilize atmospheric CO2. As we expand, we are seeking a Senior IoT Edge Software Engineer to lead our IoT projects, focusing on both edge and backend solutions.
Role Overview
As a Senior IoT Engineer, you will spearhead the design, development, and deployment of IoT edge solutions that integrate with our broader IoT infrastructure. You will enhance our Azure IoT cloud solution by adding new features and ensuring seamless integration. This role requires a deep understanding of IoT systems, edge computing, network protocols, and hardware-software integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and manage containerized applications on edge devices using Azure IoT Edge and Docker.
- Implement industrial protocols like MODBUS and OPC-UA for edge data processing.
- Ensure secure and reliable data transmission between edge devices and the cloud.
- Implement and maintain Azure Data Explorer functionalities, including real-time data ingestion and telemetry processing.
- Build and manage secure, scalable data pipelines using Azure services like Event Hubs and Stream Analytics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define features for the UI layer and ensure efficient API operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in Azure cloud solutions, with a focus on IoT.
- Proficiency in Azure Data Explorer, Kusto Query Language, and Azure services.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and edge computing architectures.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, and/or NodeJS.
- Experience with AI/ML workloads on edge devices (nice to have).
- Familiarity with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure DevOps, and Git (nice to have).
