The Role
Join Bird, a pioneering CRM platform leveraging AI for Marketing, Customer Service, and Payments, as a Senior Systems Engineer. This role is crucial for maintaining and scaling our Pusher service, which supports thousands of customers daily across various channels like Email, SMS, and WhatsApp. You will be part of the Pusher team, responsible for the full stack of the product, including infrastructure, backend, API level, connectivity, and UI.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and scale the Pusher service.
- Innovate and implement new ideas to optimize and scale Pusher.
- Work autonomously on missions to ensure customer trust through a reliable and scalable product.
- Collaborate with other engineers to solve system design and implementation issues.
- Engage in problem-solving based on business/customer needs, working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Educate and mentor team members, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
What You'll Bring
- At least 5 years of relevant software development experience.
- Strong experience with AWS, Redis, and Terraform.
- Proficiency in Ruby.
- Experience with high traffic applications.
- Deep understanding of microservices and cloud infrastructure principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
