As a Senior Data Engineer at Quatt, you will play a crucial role in building and optimizing the data infrastructure necessary to manage and process data from multiple sources efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Develop Data Pipelines: Create robust data pipelines to integrate data from various sources, including heat pump sensors, HubSpot, Zuper, and external providers.
• ETL Processes: Implement and optimize ETL processes to ensure efficient data flow and transformation.
• Data Storage and Ingestion: Ensure efficient ingestion and storage of high-volume sensor data to support real-time analytics and application needs.
• Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues to ensure reliability and performance.
• Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of data pipelines, processes, and systems.
• Data Quality: Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and cleansing processes.
• Collaboration: Work with data architects, data scientists, and analysts to build efficient, high-performance data solutions.
• Optimization: Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Integration: Integrate external data sources, such as weather data and dynamic electricity pricing, to support comprehensive analytics.
• Self-Service Data Environment: Support the implementation of a self-service data environment, empowering stakeholders to easily access and analyze data.
• Data Security: Assist in maintaining data security and compliance with data governance policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and storage solutions.
• Strong understanding of data management principles, ETL processes, and database design.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and relevant programming languages.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, and familiarity with cloud-native data services and tools like Kinesis, S3, Glue, Kafka, and Athena.
• Experience with IoT data processing and real-time data streams.
• Knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in a startup or growth-stage company.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
