System Engineer - IT Infrastructure

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled System Engineer with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies to join our team in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, EntraID, Intune, and the Power Platform. This role requires expertise in managing and deploying enterprise-level solutions, integrating services, and automating business processes to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Administration & Maintenance: Oversee the administration and maintenance of Azure AD, Intune, Microsoft 365 applications (including SharePoint and Teams), and other related M365 tools.
• Issue Management: Handle end-to-end management of technical issues and requests related to internal infrastructure services, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.
• Process Improvement & Automation: Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and processes across the organization. Build and maintain scripts and automation tools (using PowerShell, Python, and GraphAPI) to support infrastructure tasks and operations.
• AaaS Initiative: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy automation solutions as part of our Automation as a Service (AaaS) initiative to improve efficiency and reduce manual workloads.
• Systems Engineering: Participate in the design, deployment, and management of both cloud and on-premise infrastructure services. Support the maintenance, optimization, and migration of network, server, and storage systems.
• Infrastructure as Code: Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or equivalent.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices within the IAM framework and broader infrastructure environment. Conduct regular security assessments and audits. Manage vulnerability assessment processes and ensure timely patching of identified vulnerabilities.
• Collaboration & Support: Provide expert guidance and support to other teams on issues and best practices. Configure access rights and permissions according to organizational policies. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support the effective delivery and integration of products and services.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years in a System Engineer role with extensive experience in Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure environments.
• Power Platform Expertise: Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform, including Flow, Power Automate Desktop, Power Virtual Agents, and Power BI.
• Technical Skills: Strong skills in PowerShell, Bash, GraphAPI (e.g., App Access, Managed Identity), Python, and various APIs.
• Integration Knowledge: Experience integrating SAML SSO, OAuth, and OpenID services with EntraID.
• SaaS/PaaS Experience: Proven experience working with SaaS and/or PaaS environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: Microsoft Power Platform (PL-900) certification or similar experience is advantageous.
• Additional Experience: Knowledge of Google Workspace administration is a plus.
