About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Machine Learning/AI Engineer to join our dynamic team at AMD, Inc. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and Implement AI Models: Create machine learning and artificial intelligence models, algorithms, and systems tailored to specific project goals and requirements.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, researchers, hardware engineers, and software developers to deliver comprehensive AI solutions.
• Explore and Implement Cutting-Edge Techniques: Continuously explore, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge techniques and methodologies to enhance product performance and develop new features.
• Optimize Models for AMD Platforms: Ensure efficient deployment of machine learning models on AMD hardware and software platforms.
• Monitor and Update Deployed Models: Maintain and update models as necessary, troubleshooting any related issues.
• Stay Current with AI Advancements: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, sharing knowledge and insights within the organization to foster a culture of innovation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree (MS or Ph.D.) preferred.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and techniques, including deep learning, supervised and unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, and probabilistic graphical models.
• Hands-On Experience: Proficiency with popular ML frameworks and libraries, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and Scikit-learn.
• Programming Skills: Proficient in programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java.
• Familiarity with AMD Platforms: Knowledge of AMD's hardware (GPU, CPU, and APU) and software (ROCm, OpenCL, HIP) platforms is a plus.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to a diverse audience.
