Job Overview
As a Senior Production Engineer at Meta, you will be a key player in ensuring that our services run smoothly and are prepared for future growth. This role involves a blend of software, systems, and infrastructure engineering, embedded across various product and infrastructure teams at Meta.
Responsibilities
- Service Management: Own back-end services like fleet management and front-end services such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Meta Ads. Manage infrastructure components that drive Meta's advances in AI and core services used by every team.
- Code Development: Write and review code, develop documentation and capacity plans, and debug complex problems live on some of the world's largest and most complex systems.
- Collaboration and Innovation: Work alongside some of the best engineers in the industry on exciting projects involving the latest technologies. Your work will impact billions of users globally.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of experience with UNIX and TCP/IP network fundamentals.
- 7+ years of coding experience in languages such as Python, C++, Rust, PHP/Hack, Go, or Java.
- Experience with internet service architecture and capacity planning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science.
- Experience with infrastructure applications like Kubernetes, Terraform, and MySQL.
