Job Overview
Meta is seeking a highly skilled Senior Production Engineer to join our dynamic team in New York, NY. This role is crucial for ensuring that Meta's services, including high-profile platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook, operate smoothly and are prepared for future growth.
Responsibilities
- Service Management: Own back-end services like fleet management and front-end services such as Meta Ads. Handle infrastructure components that drive advances in AI and manage some of the world's largest MySQL deployments.
- Code and Development: Write and review code, develop documentation and capacity plans. Debug complex problems live on some of the largest and most intricate systems globally.
- Collaboration and Support: Work closely with engineering teams across the company. Participate in an on-call rotation as an escalation contact for service incidents.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: At least 7 years of experience with UNIX and TCP/IP network fundamentals. Similar experience in coding and handling large-scale internet services.
- Skills: Proficiency in development languages such as Python, C++, Rust, PHP/Hack, Go, Java. Familiarity with internet service architectures like LAMP or MEAN stacks, CDN, and load balancing techniques.
