Job Overview
Meta is seeking an experienced Senior Production Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for ensuring that Meta's services, including popular platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Meta Ads, operate smoothly and are prepared for future growth.
Responsibilities
- Service Management: Own back-end services handling fleet management and front-end services across our platforms.
- Leadership: Lead your engineering team by example, mentor junior staff, and be a force multiplier of impact.
- Technical Expertise: Write and review code, develop documentation and capacity plans, and debug complex problems live on some of the world's largest and most intricate systems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers across the company, sharing an on-call rotation and acting as an escalation contact for service incidents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 10 years of experience in UNIX and TCP/IP network fundamentals.
- Extensive coding experience with languages such as Python, C++, Rust, PHP/Hack, Go, and Java.
- Experience with infrastructure applications like Kubernetes, Terraform, and MySQL.
- Knowledge in web technologies and Internet service architectures.
