Factorise is a pre-seed stage AI Fintech startup. We are on a mission to democratize investment knowledge and tools through our AI-powered chatbot, learning platform, and interactive community. Our goal is to empower investors of all levels by blending novel technology with deep industry insights.
Our Progress
We have achieved significant milestones, including the development of our chatbot for internal testing and demo purposes. Our AWS cloud setup includes:
- Backend: NestJS microservices on AWS Fargate
- Frontend: Next.js on AWS Amplify
- Message Broker: RabbitMQ on Amazon MQ
- Database: MongoDB
- API Gateway: AWS API Gateway
Our ML/AI is integrated both in the cloud and locally, and we have enriched our chatbot capabilities with comprehensive API development.
The Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will work closely with the founder and team to manage and execute the technical aspects of our product development. This role involves overseeing the development of our core products, ensuring that our technology stack is robust, scalable, and aligned with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Technology Implementation: Develop and maintain our AI-powered chatbot, learning platform, and community.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with remote engineering and designer resources.
- Project Management: Work on project management tools, platforms, and deliverables.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Maintain and optimize our AWS cloud setup.
- AI & ML Integration: Collaborate with AI/ML specialists to implement machine learning models.
- Research and Development: Explore new technologies and methods to improve our product offerings.
- Technical Communication: Support the founder in technical discussions with investors and partners.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in software engineering with expertise in full-stack development and cloud infrastructure.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, AWS, microservices architecture, and API development.
- Communication: Strong communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Startup Mentality: Proactive and self-motivated, able to adapt to a fast-paced startup environment.
