The Role: Senior Software Engineer (Backend)
As a Senior Software Engineer at Raft, you will be integral to our team, developing data-focused products using top-tier open source solutions like Kafka, Trino, DuckDB, and Superset. You will work on both backend and infrastructure to build end-to-end features that enhance user interaction with data, enabling compelling data storytelling.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop RESTful APIs using Java, Scala, Python, or Rust.
- Work on low latency, high throughput data applications using Kafka and JDBC with PostgreSQL.
- Engage in the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment in a cloud-native environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in backend development, particularly with Java, Scala, Python, or Rust.
- Proven experience in data-intensive applications and software architecture.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and various package managers like Maven and Gradle.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
