About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Back-End) to join our team at Raft. This role is pivotal in supporting our customers and contributing to our mission of delivering modern, scalable, and data-intensive digital solutions. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will engage deeply in the software lifecycle, tackling complex tasks and leading smaller project initiatives. Your responsibilities will include writing code, participating in design discussions, conducting code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers to uphold our high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex software engineering projects.
- Engage in design discussions and code reviews.
- Mentor Associate and Standard Engineers.
- Develop robust web-socket and RESTful APIs.
- Collaborate with a diverse team to deliver high-quality solutions.
Required Skills and Experience
- Over 10 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Proficiency in C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, React, and Angular.
- Strong experience with Big Data/Cloud/Enterprise Frameworks.
- Expertise in cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes.
- Deep knowledge of software design and architecture patterns.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and work collaboratively.
- Experience with tools and technologies such as Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, Ansible, Docker, GIT, Linux, and more.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with time-series data in PostgreSQL or similar databases.
- Certifications such as SAFe for Teams, AWS Associate Solutions Architect, or AWS Specialty Security.
- Active Secret security clearance.
Work Environment
- Location: Hybrid work model based in Colorado Springs, CO.
- Travel: May require up to 10% travel.
Compensation
- Salary Range: €110,000 - €200,000 annually, based on experience and skills.
