Join Orca as a Senior Software Engineer (Backend)
Orca is on a mission to become the leading provider of financial primitives on Solana. We envision a future where a significant portion of the world's financial transactions is powered by CLAMMs and other Decentralized Finance (DeFi) products. To accelerate our progress towards this vision, we are looking to add a senior software engineer to our team.
What You’ll Do
- Design and Implement Scalable Servers in Rust: You will build high-performance servers deployed on AWS that interface with the Solana network and Orca's web application.
- Develop Data Processing Pipelines: Create systems for processing blockchain data, focusing on reliability and latency.
- Advance Application Features: Use these servers to develop key application features such as real-time monitoring, automated transaction execution, and token balance analytics.
- Manage Database Interactions: Handle data storage and management using PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and efficient retrieval.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven Track Record: Experience in building performant services at scale, ideally in finance or adjacent industries. Strong analytical skills to reason about complex software systems and solve problems efficiently.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Balanced Mindset: Comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment, but also enjoy collaborating as a team. Passionate about certain technologies and patterns, but recognize their trade-offs.
- Technical Skills: Experience with Rust is a plus but not required. Strong interest and proficiency in building high-performance backend systems.
- Interest in DeFi: Whether new to DeFi or an accomplished degen, you’re excited to create a more decentralized, equitable financial system.
What We Offer
- Salary: €180,000 - €250,000 per year
- Token Allocation: 200,000 - 300,000 ORCA over 4 years
