As a rapidly growing company, we are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our backend team in New York City.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, Backend, you will play a crucial role in building scalable architectures and products that define the future of video software. You will ensure high uptimes and performance for all engineering systems, directly impacting the experience of Captions' users. Collaborating with a diverse team of engineers, designers, and product managers, you will conceptualize and deliver exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable backend systems and architectures.
Ensure high performance and reliability of engineering systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
Utilize cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP for building distributed systems.
Implement and optimize NoSQL databases and PubSub systems.

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a backend engineer.
Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
Experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms (GCP, AWS), and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
Familiarity with NoSQL databases and scalable architecture design.
Bonus: Experience with GPU management and optimization at scale.
