Captions is an AI-powered creative studio based in New York City, dedicated to empowering creators worldwide. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of video software by delivering high-performance user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Deliver High-Performance User Experiences: Create stunning, high-performance user interfaces that enhance our video software.
- Collaborate with Product Designers: Work closely with designers and the broader team to conceptualize and ship incredible experiences directly to our users.
- Stay Updated with Web Technologies: Keep abreast of the latest web technologies and best practices, applying them to improve our development process and drive innovation.
- Manage Product Processes: Oversee the product process from requirements gathering and design to implementation and maintenance, contributing to the development of project plans and schedules.
Requirements
- Experience: 7+ years in software development, focusing on designing and developing user interfaces for highly scalable web applications.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated fluency with mainstream frontend and server-side frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, and ExpressJS.
- Bonus Skills: Experience or willingness to learn WebGL, WASM, and Electron.
- Product Sense: Strong product sense with a customer-focused approach and a commitment to engineering excellence.

Compensation
- Salary Range: €170,000 - €220,000 per year
