Captions is an AI-powered creative studio revolutionizing the way videos are created. As a Software Engineer specializing in web technologies, you will join our New York City-based team at Captions, where your contributions will significantly impact both our product and company culture.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-performance user experiences that shape the future of video software.
- Collaborate with Product Designers and the broader team to conceptualize and ship incredible experiences directly to users.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest web technologies and best practices, applying them to improve the development process and drive innovation.
- Manage the overall product process from requirements gathering and design to implementation and maintenance.
- Contribute to the development of project plans and schedules.
Requirements
- Multi-disciplinary engineering skills with a strong product sense and technical expertise.
- 3+ years of experience in software development, focusing on designing and developing user interfaces for highly scalable web applications.
- Demonstrated fluency with mainstream frontend and server-side frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, ExpressJS, etc).
- Bonus: Experience or the ability to learn WebGL, WASM, Electron.
