Captions is seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in New York City. As a Software Engineer focused on web technologies, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-performance user experiences that shape the future of video software.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Stunning User Experiences: Collaborate with product designers and the broader team to conceptualize and ship incredible experiences directly to Captions' users.
- Stay Up-to-Date: Keep abreast of the latest web technologies and best practices, applying them to improve the development process and drive innovation.
- Manage Product Process: Oversee the overall product process with the team, from requirements gathering and design to implementation and maintenance. Contribute to the development of project plans and schedules.
Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years in software development, with a focus on designing and developing user interfaces for highly scalable web applications.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated fluency with a mainstream frontend and server-side framework such as React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, or ExpressJS.
- Bonus Skills: Experience or willingness to learn WebGL, WASM, or Electron.
- Customer Focus: A multi-disciplinary engineer with strong product sense, driven by customer focus and engineering excellence.
