We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Data Platform team in Stockholm. This role is perfect for someone who brings fresh ideas from various areas such as distributed computing, large-scale system design, architecture, and more. About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of a team that manages the central parts of our product’s platform, focusing primarily on backend engineering. You will work with a group of friendly senior engineers who enjoy pair or mob programming and close collaboration with other development teams.
Our team is heavily invested in a microservice architecture in AWS, managing over 50 services daily. A small change can significantly impact cost and performance across Funnel's system. You will have the freedom to make decisions and determine the best way to accomplish your work.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, monitor, and implement code for our platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve problems, not just implement requirements.
- Engage in small iterations and deploy to production several times a day.
- Ensure the product meets customer needs and exceeds expectations.
Who You Are
- You have around 10 years of experience in various programming languages and systems.
- You are proficient in Rust and have a deep understanding of AWS, especially permissions.
- You have proven experience with distributed systems and system architecture.
- You are pragmatic, humble, and not afraid to make important decisions.
- You enjoy collaborating with design, product, and customer departments.

Location
This role is based in Stockholm, Sweden. We value in-person collaboration and work primarily from our offices. We are unable to sponsor relocation, so we will consider applicants who are already located in Stockholm and have the right to work in Sweden.
