The Mission
We aim to reduce the time and cost associated with getting ML applications to production. Our platform handles large streams of unstructured data—images, video, text, and audio—facilitating lower labeling costs and improved feedback loops.

Founded in 2021 by Rishabh Bhargava and Nihit Desai, Refuel.ai brings together expertise from leading technology companies and institutions. Backed by General Catalyst and XYZ Ventures, our team is small but growing, with a focus on innovation and quality.
What You Will Do
- Design and build core backend systems for data ingestion, ML model training, and inference.
- Lead technical architecture decisions and API design.
- Collaborate with ML and frontend teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.
- Maintain and monitor information security controls.
- Contribute to the evolution of our engineering stack as we scale.
Who You Are
- Experienced in building large-scale distributed systems.
- Proficient in Python and familiar with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong communicator with a collaborative spirit.
- Curious about startup environments and eager to impact product development.
