About the Role
The Core Observability team at Datadog is focused on enhancing reliability engineering practices through effective observability. Our mission is to establish observability best practices and golden paths that are easily adoptable by engineering teams. This involves optimizing how Datadog itself is utilized within Datadog, collaborating with product and infrastructure teams to define and implement solutions that meet internal observability needs.
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for building tools and automation to support internal observability cases in a self-service and easy-to-use manner. You will be instrumental in establishing new golden paths for observability and fostering their adoption across the engineering department.
What You Will Do
- Establish new golden paths for observability.
- Design and implement internal tooling in partnership with engineering teams.
- Influence solutions and promote best practices to improve reliability across Datadog products.
Who You Are
- You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Proficient in structured programming languages like Go and Python.
- Strong communication skills and experience in cross-team collaborations.
- Experience in leading projects with wide impact across engineering teams.
